Wellington’s Scots College finished third at the SANIX World Rugby Youth Tournament, which wrapped up on Wednesday afternoon (NZT).
Joint 2014 national champions Scots College, representing New Zealand at the annual tournament in Japan, defeated England’s Truro College 45-7 in the playoff for third and fourth.
Scots College out-scored the English school seven tries to one and lead 26-7 at halftime.
South Africa’s Paul Roos Gymnasium won the event, beating Australia’s Brisbane Boys’ College 35-3 in the final, after leading 22-3 at halftime.
Brisbane Boys’ College defeated Scots College 34-8 in their cross-over match on Tuesday.

Earlier in the week, Hamilton Girls’ High School won the SANIX Girls Tournament. Hamilton GHS defeated Iwami Chisyikan High School in their semi-final and then Fukuoka Ladies Rugby Football Club in their final.
