This will be a significant challenge and we are seeking a Rugby Development Officer to create the necessary gateway between junior and senior rugby and to promote rugby in the greater Johnsonville area.
A unique opportunity
Wellington Rugby runs a unique Rugby Development Officer (RDO) programme. The Union is able to in conjunction with clubs have an RDO at each premier club and Wellington is the only province in New Zealand that currently has this initiative running.
The role is to designed to support our community game building relationships between clubs and schools, supporting coaches and volunteers in these organisations. Coach development, player development and community development are key priorities to help our kids grow in the game of rugby.

This role has dual reporting lines to both the Club and the Union and requires strong people management, communication (written and verbal), teamwork, technical knowledge of the game and is highly organised.
