Wellington U20, Wellington Development and Hurricanes Development player Vaea Fifita was selected to make his ITM Cup debut for the Wellington Lions at home at Westpac Stadium in round three against North Harbour.
Fifita has been part of the Wellington Axemen's resurgence in 2012 and 2013, leading from the front and helping his club regain Premier status in 2014.
Hard working and athletic, Tongan born and raised Fifita is also an excellent lineout forward for the Axemen, playing mainly at No. 8 but also at lock where he his future could lie given higher honours.
