The All Blacks Sevens team to play the third leg of the 2015/16 HSBC World Series, the Wellington Sevens, features Ardie Savea, one new cap in Rugby World Cup winning All Black Sonny Bill Williams and Auckland's Ioane brothers.
The side sees the return of four Super Rugby players who have pulled on the All Blacks Sevens jersey in recent seasons.
Loose forward Ardie Savea returns to the side after featuring in the team across six tournaments in 2012.
Auckland Brothers Akira Ioane and Rieko Ioane are the first brothers to play together in one tournament for the team...

Wellington club Marist St Pat’s won today’s one-day Ulalei Sevens tournament played at Jerry Collins Stadium, Porirua Park.

MSP beat defending champions Apia Auckland Maroons in the Ulalei Cup final, coming from behind to prevail 17-14.

The annual Ulalei Wellington Sevens tournament is being staged at Porirua Park this Saturday.
The one-day tournament being played at Jerry Collins Stadium features 12 teams in four pools of three, with games starting at 9.00am and running through to after 5.00pm when this year’s Ulalei Sevens champions will be crowned.
The tournament is held every year a week before the international Sevens Tournament in Wellington, and this year’s will feature several quality sides said Ulalei Wellington Sports Incorporated Chairman Tupuola Masunu Tuisila...

The Counties Manukau (Men’s) and Manawatu (Women’s) teams wound up a whirlwind second day's play in Rotorua on Sunday by winning the 2016 National Sevens Cup titles.
Counties Manukau defeated North Harbour 54-14 in the Men’s Cup final and Manawatu overcame Wellington 26-19 in the Women’s Cup final.
Steelers playmaker Augustine Pulu won the Joe Tauiwi Trophy for being the Men’s Player of the Tournament and Kat Whata-Simpkins was awarded the Anna Richards Trophy as the Women’s tournament MVP...

Former Wellington Lions halfback Sheridan Rangihuna will captain the Wellington men’s team at this weekend’s National Sevens and hopes that the Rotorua International Stadium will once more prove a happy hunting ground.
This is the third year the National Sevens have been at Rotorua and so far Wellington has come away with winners (beating Auckland in the final in 2014) and runners-up (missing out to Waikato in the final in 2015) medals...

Mother Nature has played a key role in helping the Eketahuna Rugby Club ground remain in good condition ahead of next month’s Super Rugby pre-season game between the Hurricanes and Blues.
The club’s President Dennis “Doc” Dougherty, says rain that feel last week has kept the ground moist and with more rain predicted later today, he’s confident it will ensure the pitch is in top notch condition for the Super Rugby clash on Saturday, 13th February 2016.
