Twelve months ago, Shahn Eru and Chase Tiatia were on opposing sides in the Wellington club rugby Jubilee Cup final at the Hutt Recreation Ground. Wellington Centurions U21s representative games coming up
The 2015 representative season is just around the corner, with several teams playing matches in various Hurricanes region competitions including the Centurions U21s who will be competing in this year’s Heartland region RDO Championship competition. This will be the first time in many years that there has been a WRFU Age Grade U21 Representative side. The resurrection of this team has been driven by the WRFU RDO group and the Centurions Rugby Club. The RDO Group sees the U21 Grade as means to keep college leavers involved in the game for two to three years, to assist players who physically develop later, and at the same time, produce future Premier players, who will hopefully go on to play 50-100 games for their Clubs...More

The curse of the top qualifier continues. St. Pat’s Town have won the WelTec Premiership title for the first time since 1995 upsetting top of the table Scots College, 19-8 in the final at Porirua Park this afternoon. Watch some video highlights here  Remarkably the top ranked school in the round-robin hasn't won the Wellington Championship since 2009. For Scots it was their first defeat in 14 Premier One games and just their second loss in the last 32 games. Feverish defence was the key ingredient for Town...More

WelTec Premiership final on Sunday
Slightly more than a week after playing host to the showcase day of the club season, Porirua Park will again be in the spotlight with the playing of the College Sport Wellington WelTec Premiership final between Scots College and St Patrick’s College, Wellington. While many tipped Scots College to beat Wellington College in one semi-final (which they did by 41-13), few thought that St Pat’s Town would overturn their 15-30 loss in the Traditional to Silverstream from 10 days earlier, but they did with a 23-20 victory...More
Fidow ready to rumble for Premier 1 final
At Scots College the prefects wear different socks to the other students. At the beginning of each year the prefects fittings are done by one of the mothers in the Pipeband. This is usually a seamless process, but in 2015 there was a very big problem - Alex Fidow! The following email was sent to the Headmasters office: "We have a problem with one of the boys - Mr Fidow – his legs are way too big for any socks in the uniform shop. His calves are 52cm by 20 inches. I have walked to each menswear shop in town – no joy...More
