St. Pat's Silverstream beat Wellington College with fulltime penalty

At halftime all the signs pointed to a big win for Wellington College over a lacklustre St. Pat’s Silverstream that was struggling to play with any conviction and making mistakes aplenty. The scoreboard read: Wellington College 21 - Silverstream 3.

But fast forward 35 minutes to the end of the match and up stepped starting five-eighth Aviata Silago, now at centre, to take the shot of his life. From 45-metres out and with Wellington College’s supporters on the terrace in full voice, Silago‘s death-knock penalty never looked like missing and his team had grabbed a thrilling 24-21 victory over their arch-rivals.
