Brought up locally, Treeby, along with his brother Matt, went on to play in and win the Jubilee Cup final against Ories in early August.

June 2014: Wellington Lions and Highlanders midfielder Shaun Treeby has re-signed with the Wellington Lions until the end of the 2015 ITM Cup.?
The 25-year-old, who hails from the Tawa club in Wellington, has extended his provincial rugby ties with the capital until the end of the 2015 ITM Cup season.
Since he debuted for the Lions against Wairarapa Bush in July 2009, Treeby has played 48 matches and clocked up 55 points, scoring 11 tries.
