July 2012: Former Northern United loose forward Anare Koliavu has been called into the Western Force's Investec Super Rugby squad for their two-game tour of New Zealand, starting with the Blues in Auckland this Saturday.
Koliavu, came through the local college system and played U21s in his first season in 2002 before shooting straight up to Premier level soon after. He then played two seasons in the Hawke's Bay for Napier Pirates in 2004 and 2005 before moving back to Norths and? playing for the Norths Premiers until 2009. He also played Heartland rugby for Horowhenua-Kapiti before his next move to Perth in 2010.
He was a member of the Western Force academy in 2010-2011 and in 2011 won the RugbyWA Premier grade Best and Fairest competition. In 2011 he also played for the Fiji Warriors in last year's Pacific Rugby Cup.
